About me
Victoria Reid is the ATA Fine Arts Council Dance Representative. Victoria Reid has over 25 years of dance experience in Calgary and Edmonton, she has trained in ballet, pointe, character, musical theatre, lyrical, contemporary, and modern dance and taught in both the private dance sector and in dance education. Victoria holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta.
As the founder and director of the ABJ Dance Collective, she has led hundreds of students through the locally developed Dance curriculum at Archbishop Jordan High School (ABJ). She has also been the movement director and choreographer for dozens of plays and musicals and has also taught extensively in drama and musical theatre.
Victoria’s dedication to the arts has earned her numerous awards and scholarships for dance and teaching. She has completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet exams up to the qualified teaching level and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Dance Education with the RAD.
On the weekend, Victoria loves grabbing a hot coffee from a local cafe and a walk through Edmonton’s river valley with her husband and son. She loves presenting to teachers and sharing her passion for the arts with her colleagues.
